Assessor Training and Ongoing Support
Careerforce arranges training for new assessors and provides ongoing support for existing assessors.
Assessor Criteria and Process
As well as technical qualifications and experience, assessors need to hold the unit standard 4098, and preferably 18203 and 11281, and undertake a training course on Careerforce assessment practices (see 'New Assessor Courses').

New Assessor Courses (4098 training)
Once your application to become a Careerforce registered assessor has been confirmed you will be able to attend a free assessor training workshop. These workshops will equip future assessors with the skills and knowledge they need to understand how Careerforce learning and assessment 'works', and achieve the following unit standards:
- 4098: Use standards to assess candidate performance
- 11281: Prepare candidates for assessment
- 18203: Verify evidence for assessment for candidate training
