Background on electronic consults
A new web based consultation process is allowing more people to have their say on the development of future health and disability qualifications.
Specially created sector panels work with Careerforce to draft qualification content. This work is informed by sector standards, legislation, contract requirements and related national and international competencies.
The resulting draft qualification then undergoes an ‘electronic’ or web based consultation, designed to enable more robust discussion about proposed qualification content and structure.
If an electronic consult identifies that significant changes are required to the draft content, a subsequent electronic consult will be held on the refined content. Once finalised, the qualification and unit standards are registered with NZQA.
