"What training Careerforce provide is awesome especially when you have staff at different levels of knowledge around disability issues, work practice etc".Daphne Marshall, Te Oranga Kaumātua Kuia Disability Support Services Trust
Employers and funders play a vital role in ensuring the best possible health and disability support services are being delivered in New Zealand.
Careerforce works alongside employers to enable their staff to achieve nationally recognised qualifications via an embedded approach and therefore providing their clients and tangata whaiora consumers with quality care and support. We also consult with funders to ensure the qualifications and related competencies meet their needs as the health and disability sector evolves.

Emdedded Learning
Embedding workplace-based learning makes learning and assessment a part of everyday workplace practice. It can include having training in employment contracts, training outcomes linked to remuneration, regular teaching/coaching sessions and assessment as it naturally occurs in the workplace, or more formal assessment which could also be linked to performance reviews. Workplace policies and procedures support the development and recognition of competencies and the infrastructure of the workplace is designed to support a learning environment.
Careerforce’s 'embedded’ workplace based training model is available to all employers and those already engaged in the model are reporting significant results. The 13% of employers who were the first to engage in the 'embedded’ model supported 45% of the new 2008 Training Agreements and achieved 48% of the 2008 national qualification completions.
