Richard Westlake is Founder and Managing Director of Westlake Governance. He has over 20 years’ experience as a board chair and director.
He is the Independent Chairman at Intergen Limited, NZ Telecommunications Forum Inc and an Independent Director at Dairy Goat Co-operative (NZ) Limited.
Richard was Chair of the Standards Council of New Zealand (2003-2010), which is New Zealand’s representative body for the International Standards Organization and was a founding Independent Director of Kiwibank Limited (2001-2011).
He is an Accredited Fellow of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand and a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management.
Before moving to New Zealand, he gained an MA from Oxford University and trained as a Royal Air Force fighter pilot.
Dr Garth Bennie
Chief Executive NZ Disability Support Network
Garth joined NZDSN in January 2015 and since then has led NZDSN into a new era of closer ties with Government and across providers. Garth has a wealth of experience in and around the disability sector with 15 years at the Ministry of Education as a District Manager for Special Education.
His career began at IHC in both vocational and residential settings where he trained as a social worker and since then he has held a variety of roles coordinating, managing, researching and developing disability services and policy. He gained his PhD in disability studies particularly focusing on supported employment.

Industrial Services Manager at NZ Nurses Organisation (NZNO)
Cee is currently employed as the Industrial Services Manager for the NZ Nurses Organisation, Toputanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa (NZNO). She has held this position for eleven years. Her career at NZNO has spanned twenty-seven years. In her early years Cee trained as a Registered and Obstetric Nurse and held various nursing positions in the Canterbury Area Health Board.
She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Sociology before her engagement in unions and more recently has completed her International Coaching Certification with the International Coaching Community (ICC). Cee is currently an elected representative on the NZCTU Finance & Executive Committee and represents NZNO as a trustee on the recently established Kaimahi Matauranga Workers Education Trust. Cee has been part of the negotiation team on the recent Care and Support Worker Pay Equity Settlement and looks forward to bringing her combined passions for education and workers aspirations together in this new role on the Careerforce Board.
Dr Greg Coyle

Principal Advisor, Salvation Army Programme New Zealand
Greg is the Principal Advisor for The Salvation Army Social Programme in New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga. He has previously held a senior position in the health faculty at the Auckland University of Technology and stakeholder management and financial monitoring roles at the Tertiary Education Commission.
He brings knowledge and experience of the social sector workforce with skills in managing organisational development particularly in the competitive NGO contracting environment. Greg has been a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors for 20 years, holds a Masters of Public Policy and completed a PhD in the area of justice as fairness. He lives in Wellington with his wife Professor Jo Walton from the Victoria University School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health and he has four children all living in Australia.

Warm greetings to you. My name is Fiona Pimm and I am Ngai Tahu, with my cultural feet firmly planted at Arowhenua near Temuka. These days, I live in Otautahi but travel around Aotearoa regularly for work and leisure.
I am a Professional Director on several Boards and I have a special interest in health and education services. I am committed to the continuous improvement of our health and education services and to community engagement.
I am an idealist always looking towards the long term strategic outcomes while keeping focused on the work that must be achieved on the journey. I have a knack for getting to the nub of the issue and focusing on solutions.

Julie is Chief Executive of the Home and Community Health Association, the peak association for organisations providing home and community support in New Zealand. Julie has held previous CEO or senior management roles in industry associations and industry regulatory bodies.
In her current role she has represented the home and community support services sector on multiple consultations and in negotiations on major sector changes. She is a member of the Institute of Directors. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours first class) and a Diploma in Teaching.

Norah is amongst Australasia’s most experienced and respected executives and directors and has in-depth knowledge of the aged and health care sector. She is CEO and Managing Director of Estia Health, one of the largest aged care providers in Australia. She also holds extensive experience as the highly-respected former CEO and former Director of Summerset Group, a NZX and ASX-listed company named Australasia’s best retirement village operator four years running.
Norah has a strong background across business leadership and management, strategy, corporate finance, governance, tax and accounting. She is a member of the National Advisory Council on the Employment of Women and the National Taskforce on Allied Health Workers governance committee, she was President of the Retirement Villages Association (NZ) for seven years and made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to business in 2014.

As the CEO for the cleaning industry association – BSCNZ since January 2014, she has made significant contributions to the industry and is a strong advocate for promoting personal development through training and education. Lillian helps to promote the industries professionalism, excellence and vital contribution to all New Zealanders by conceptualising and organising the annual Thank Your Cleaner Day™ campaign (now a global event) and the biennial BSCNZ CleanSweep Awards™

Director Aged Care Residential
Director, New Zealand Aged Care Association
Rhonda Sherriff represents the aged care residential sector on the Careerforce Board, and is a Registered Nurse with 39 years’ experience. Over the last 25 years, Rhonda has worked in a variety of operational and management roles within the sector. Rhonda is passionate about the aged care industry, ensuring resident’s welfare, their safety, staff education and competence, and safe outcomes for all clients.
Rhonda co-owns a retirement village in Christchurch, and oversees the operation on a weekly basis, to ensure that residents receive optimum care and service.
Rhonda is a director of the New Zealand Aged Care Association, and also works as their Clinical Advisor, manning their helpline enquiries. Rhonda works as a consultant to the sector, assisting facilities nationally, and their senior management teams to meet compliance and audit issues.
