Previously mobile assessors were independent of any organisation and provided assessment services throughout the country to support workplaces and learners.

Following the changes made by Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) regarding the Targeted Training and Apprenticeships Fund (TTAF), Careerforce has made the decision to contract all mobile assessors for the assessment services provided to Careerforce enrolled learners working toward Careerforce programmes.

This change means that TTAF funding can be used to off-set the direct costs to workplaces for assessment services. All other interactions with a mobile assessor remain unchanged and all existing relationships between workplaces and assessors will be honoured.

The day to day business of assessing learners does not need to change, nor should the processes and communications between workplaces and assessors. Trainees seeking support directly from a mobile assessor should contact their organisation’s Careerforce Workplace Advisor.
