Job Description

  • Casual work with flexibility & variety based in Hamilton
  • Shifts available 7 days per week
  • Earn up to $28.25 per hour (if holding L4) + join a supportive team

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
Reporting to the Team Coach, our casual roles provide cover for permanent Support Workers - the hours of work are not regular and are offered when they become available. We operate 7 days a week morning and afternoon shift. We would appreciate if you can be available 2-3 shifts a week.

  • Independent daily living skills
  • Shopping
  • Attending appointments and advocating for people
  • Medication support
  • Work in a recovery-focused way
  • Assist in finding trainings or employment for people
  • Encouraging people to live healthy lifestyle

You | Mōu

  • A current full New Zealand driver’s licence
  • A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one
  • Hold either the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing commence study towards this qualification within six months of starting with us. We offer our staff significant support to complete this study
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care
  • Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts.
