Job Description

  • Casual work with flexibility & variety based in Tauranga.
  • $250 HealthNow Card, Pay steps $23.38 to $29.10phr + gain a free level 4 qual.
  • 3 distinct shifts across a 7-day week, night, morning (AM) & afternoon (PM).

Promote total wellness for tāngata whaiora. Support with meals, cleanup, and daily tasks for holistic care.

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

Reporting to the Team Coach, our casual roles provide cover for permanent Support Workers - the hours of work are not regular and are offered when they become available. We operate 7 days a week.

In this role you will:

  • Support people in a mental health respite setting, working individually and as part of a team.
  • Have good people skills and able to work independently and within a wider team.
  • Be busy supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills.
  • Attending appointments and advocating for people.
  • Might be assisting people to connect with their communities.
  • Be prepared to do whatever it takes for the people we support - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care or helping with everyday tasks.

This is a casual role where the shift pattern can be as follows:

  • AM shift – 7.00am to 3.30pm
  • PM shift – 3.00pm to 11.30pm
  • Awake shift – 11.00pm to 7.00am

You | Mōu

Applicants must have;

  • a Level 4 in Mental Health and Wellbeing Certificate, Psychology, education, sport and nutrition (preferred)
  • a current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
  • a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • the knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
