Job Description

NURSE LEAD

Are you up for a challenge? Wanting to make a 'real' difference?

We are looking for a Nurse Lead to join our team of mobile nurses in Dargaville, who is a dynamic, strong, motivated and positive person.

About the role 

This role will be located in Dargaville and will involve leading a team of nurses in their clinical practice, providing clinical guidance to the organisation and carrying a small case load as a Senior Registered Nurse.

This role is currently for 40 hours per week.

We are looking for a person who

  • is committed to respecting the rights and supporting those with health needs
  • is able to manage a dynamic team while allowing them to take the lead when appropriate, and will remain professional at all times

To be considered for this role it is essential you

  • have a degree in any of the applicable health professions
  • be a registered nurse and have a current practicing certificate
  • have obtained NZ police vetting clearance
  • be eligible to work in New Zealand
  • have clinical leadership experience and skills
  • have management experience and skills
  • are able to demonstrate knowledge and ability to undertake a comprehensive nursing assessment and appropriate care planning requirement
  • display excellent cultural competency and specific knowledge of models and frameworks specific to Māori and Pasifika participants
  • understand and effectively use Māori health models (e.g. Te Whare Tapa Wha) in treatment

and preferably you

  • have experience working for a Māori Provider
  • have experience working within funding contracts
