A clinician who is interested in working with our taiohi (young people) in our Whetu Marewa Youth Primary Mental Health team.

The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

Full-time, Permanent role based in our Puriri House, New Plymouth
Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

We’re looking for a Registered Clinician to join our Real Whetu Marewa Youth Primary Mental Health and Addiction service.  You will be reporting to a Team Coach and will be providing support to the youth community mental health and addiction service with an outreach approach. Registered health professionals will provide support in locations where young people are, such as schools and community clinics with the goal to provide easy access to support for those who need it.

You | Mōu

As a Clinician, you will be drawing on your experience in working with young people, and expertise from a range of treatment modalities to provide therapeutic interventions in supporting young people to build confidence, resilience, and well-being.

You will also: 

  • Be a Registered Health Professional with a current NZ practicing certificate or working towards it (we also consider DAPAANZ registration)
  • Experience working in youth primary mental health or similar
  • The ability to work well with other services such as DHBs, PHOs, and the wider community and social sector
  • Full New Zealand driver’s license
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Ideally, you will have knowledge of the Health and Social Services sectors
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
