Join a large mobile community support team based in Mount Albert, Auckland. You will join a busy and diverse team helping people with a mental health diagnosis and/or drug and alcohol addiction to achieve their goals in the community. You will engage with clinical teams, whānau and other service agencies to help ensure great outcomes for our service users.

Job Description

He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role 

In this role, you will be working within the NGO Partners service which provides brief intervention community support to clients of the Community Mental Health Centres in the ADHB. You will be given the opportunity to work alongside health professionals and support clients at several locations across Auckland Central, and in order to do this, you will be provided with a vehicle that you take home with you.

This a fixed term fulltime role until June 2023 and you will be working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 8.00am - 6.00pm.  Emerge Aotearoa operates 24/7 services and you may be required to work outside of your usual hours from time to time.

We are looking for people who are resilient, solution focused, naturally energetic, have a passion for giving things a go, and a genuine interest in supporting people to achieve goals and learn new skills and develop community connections.

A level 4 mental health qualification is preferred but if you are committed this can be achieved whilst employed. You will be supported by health professionals and an experienced management team.  

  • Be culturally responsive and non-judgemental

  • Have strong professional boundaries
  • Full NZ drivers' licence
