Job Description

He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
Our Whangarei Community services provide flexible and mobile support for youth, adults, and pregnant women, their babies and whanau who are experiencing mental illness. We have a position within our adult support team for you to consider where you will provide support to our whaiora to live independently in the community and achieve their goals as you walk alongside them on their recovery journey. You will be excellent with relationship building, have a passion for mental health and work with dynamic and professional teams that support our tangata whaiora, whānau and community. You'll be confident in carrying out daily recovery activities focusing on client strengths. We currently have a permanent role that is 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) with our team that supports adults. We are also interested in speaking with you if you are wanting casual employment within out service.
He kōrero mōu | About You
  • Have a Mental Health Level 4 Qualification or above/equivalent, however if you're willing to commit to working towards a qualification then we would love to hear from you as we can offer some support around this
  • Full New Zealand Driver's License
  • Local community knowledge an advantage
  • Familiar with Tikanga Maori practice
  • Ability to connect and work with whānau
  • See potential in people and thrive in a challenging and ever changing environment
  • Have strong professional boundaries
  • Have the ability to easily build professional relationships with our tangata whaiora
