Job Description

He kōrero mō te tūranga - The role

We are looking a motivated and passionate individual to join us in delivering an innovative community service, based in our Kenepuru office, which supports people to live well in their own home. Your recovery-focused goal will be to walking alongside Tāngata Whaiora and enhance their skills and experience and enable self-management of their health and wellbeing.

This role is to cover maternity leave and is a fixed-term position until June 2023

He kōrero mōu - About you

What's important is that you can:

  • positively work with people who experience mental health problems
  • encourage people to be independent (Do with, not do for!)
  • be a good communicator and be able to respond to people from a range of cultural backgrounds
  • be able to provide practical support and have flexibility
  • use a variety of skills to engage people, in a wide range of situations, to achieve quality outcomes.

What you need:

  • It's essential that you have a full New Zealand driver's licence
  • Previous experience in sensory modulation work and mindfulness a bonus
  • Strong computer skills, a 'can-do' attitude and be able to demonstrate strong personal and professional boundaries
