Job Description

We are looking for dynamic, energetic and conscientious Individuals that can support our new clients living with complex injuries/disabilities within their own home. Being ready for action is a must as our clients need the team to be able to keep up and help them live their best lives! These are 24/7 cares, we are looking for someone who would be comfortable covering am and pm shifts, which would include sleepovers and weekend work. So being flexible with hours is a must!  If successful you will be joining established teams of highly skilled staff, working within a positive and supportive environment. This rewarding role involves:
  • Assisting the clients with personal cares, home help, shopping assistance, and meal preps
  • Supporting exercise programmes
  • Moving and handling clients using hoists and manual transfers
  • Assisting the client to access the community

The ideal candidate would have:
  • Experience in assisting clients with their personal cares
  • A full driver’s license and confidence driving a mobility van (training can be provided)
  • Experience with Hoists and Manual Transfers
  • A qualification in Healthcare/Disability would be preferable but not essential.Previous experience with spinal cord injuries would be preferred
  • Flexibility to cover a variety of shifts
  • Great communication and organisational skills
  • NZ Residency or valid NZ Open work visa
  • Evidence of your vaccination status (as per the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 which specifies that all frontline workers must be vaccinated)
