Job Description

Come join the MASH Trust Disability Team as a Support Worker based in Karori.

  • You will earn between $22.70 - 28.25 per hour, depending on qualifications

About the Role:

We are looking for kind, special people with empathy and a passion to care for others to join our Disability Team in Karori. If you are full of fun and seeking a rewarding position where you are enabling others to lead fulfilling lives then this is the role for you!

MASH provides a wide range of support services for people with Mental Health, Intellectual or Physical Disability or Illness, Alcohol and Addiction and Youth Respite Care.

These services are offered either at the residential homes we support, or people who require support in their own homes, or in the community.

The Hours:

Working 80 hours per fortnight Every week - Tuesday to Saturday 2.45pm until 11.15pm

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be available to work the days and hours as stated above
  • Be eligibility to work in NZ
  • Ability to swim is preferable 
  • Have a keen interest in working with people of all ages, including those with injuries, disabilities or aged related conditions
  • Have a warm sense of humour, patience and are sensitive to the varying needs of the people we support
  • Possess strong communication skills
