Job Description

We have a Part Time opportunity for a Disability Support Worker to join our the Paraparaumu Team

  • You will earn between $22.70 - 28.25 per hour, depending on qualification

With over 550 staff and volunteers, we work alongside the people we support to enable them to live fulfilling lives.
 
The Hours: This position is part time working 35 hours per fortnight
Week 1: Tuesday and Wednesday - 4pm- 9pm
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 4pm - 9pm
This role specifically requires a Female as specified by the people we supports needs, under the Health and Disability Code of Rights and as provided for under Section 27 of the Human Rights Act 1993.  
 
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Be available to work the days and hours as stated above.
  • Have a clean, full drivers licence and own transport
  • Be eligibility to work in NZ
  • Have a keen interest in working with people of all ages, including those with injuries, disabilities or aged related conditions
  • Have a warm sense of humour, patience and are sensitive to the varying needs of the people we support
  • Possess strong communication skills
