MASH mental health residential supported accommodation provides community-based housing with support staff available depending on the level of need. MASH support staff work in partnership with our people to develop individualised packages and achieve personal goals.

MASH Trust supports people in their own homes, within MASH homes and in the community. We operate throughout the lower North Island, in Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Manawatu and Hawkes Bay regions. 

With over 550 staff and volunteers, we work alongside the people we support to enable them to live fulfilling lives.

The Role: As a Support Worker you will be supporting the people, we support by maintaining a high quality of life, a quality home environment, and encouraging full participation in all aspects of community daily life.    

This is a part time role working 70 hours per fortnight.

Week 1 - Tuesday, Wednesday 3.30pm - 10pm, Thursday 2.30pm - 11pm and Friday 3.30pm - 10pm

Week 2 - Monday 2.30pm - 11pm, Wednesday 2pm - 10.30pm, Thursday, Friday 3.30pm - 10pm, Saturday and Sunday 2.30pm - 11pm

You will have/be:

  • A desire to learn and grow within your role
  • Comfortable assisting with personal cares
  • Hold a current full driver's licence and have reliable transport
  • The ability to take pride in a healthy home environment – including cleaning, meal preparation and shopping
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand with a minimum of six months on Visa
