About the Company/Organisation

PolyEmp Employment Support and Advice is a not-for-profit Supported Employment Service created specifically to support young people with learning disabilities find employment.

We work in partnership with the young people and their whanau to identify their career goals before actively engaging with local employers by cold-calling to generate employment opportunities.

Job Description

Employer engagement and relationship building is an important part of this role and whilst having some experience in the disability sector is an advantage, we welcome applications form people who have confidence and experience in this area. 

You will be well resourced in your role.

We offer competitive salaries,beginning at $59,074.62 with increments based on performance up to $65,381.48. A company car is available, laptop, a great work-life balance with 10 extra wellness leave days per year and funded opportunities for training and development towards a level 5 Diploma in Health and Well Being (Supported Employment).

We would expect that you would bring to our team:

  • A proven ability to build strong relationships and be able to relate well with people at all levels.
  • Skills in managing all aspects of transition into employment – including interview and job coaching, vocational mentoring and career guidance
  • Enthusiasm and drive to deliver results for the client base by effectively marketing supported employment.
  • Motivation and a real passion for actively engaging with local employers by cold calling and following up with face-to-face meetings on behalf of the young people.
  • Confidence to work with groups of people and facilitate small workshops.
  • Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • A creative approach to problem solving
  • A full, clean driver’s license.
