The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm.

The role is based in Hamilton/Kirikiriroa and includes travel across other parts of the Waikato region, within working hours.

In this role you will:

  • work alongside people to identify their housing needs and support them to overcome barriers to housing.
  • support people to transition from their current living situation into permanent housing.
  • work in collaboration with other teams and agencies to identify on-going support needs for people who have moved into permanent housing.
  • help people sustain their housing and link them in with the health and social supports they need.
  • work closely with other NGOs and mental health clinical teams to review goals and provide housing solutions.

You | Mōu

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Minimum of a level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
  • Or a willingness to complete this within two years of starting with us.
  • Sound problem solving and organisational skills.
  • An ability to work at pace and flourish under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in record keeping.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi principles and working with Māori.
  • A full New Zealand driving licence.
