Job Description

He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
We're seeking an interactive permanent full-time Referral Coordinator to join our Emergency Housing Team which provides safe and warm accommodation to people and their whānau that have been affected by mental health or addiction issues, disability, trauma, violence, homelessness, poverty, or dislocation. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:  
  • Effective communication with management and case managers
  • Monitor sharefiles and respond according to each request
  • Contact service users
  • Financial reporting
  • Networking
  • Purchase of items and deliver to service users
  • Organise files and ensure they are stored accordingly to each purchase
He kōrero mōu | About You
  • You have an admin background
  • It is desirable that you hold a New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - L4 or higher level of mental health support work (or equivalent), or completed Level 2 of the National Certificate in Health, Disability, and Aged Support (or equivalent).
  • Work with a recovery-focused approach to ensure delivery of quality service to whānau
  • Support whānau to work towards their personal goals and aspirations while reintegrating back into the community
  • Ability to demonstrate experience supporting whānau with challenging behaviour and provide a calm and patient approach to behavioural challenges you may face
  • Strong personal and professional boundaries
  • Demonstrated commitment to recovery values
  • High attention to detail
  • A current Full New Zealand driver's licence
