Job Description

We are looking for an experienced whānau support worker to work as a Kaiarataki Navigator in a challenging and exciting role. The Kaiarataki Navigator will work with Tāne and whānau from Northland and down the Kaipara.

This is a dynamic role that works closely with whānau as they work towards improving their wellbeing and achieving their overall goals.

We are looking for someone to join our navigator service team who:

  • Is able to build robust relationships with tāne, whānau and other external agencies
  • has experience working to support Whānau
  • Case Management
  • Can multi-task and prioritise their workload
  • Is proficient in the use of computers and has excellent written and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of Te Reo me ona Tikanga
  • Is familiar with reporting frameworks

It would also be beneficial if you:

  • Have experience working with or supporting whānau involved in the Corrections system
  • Have experience in the delivery of community services to people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Have knowledge of Ngāti Whātua and the local community
  • Have the ability to facilitate the integration of Te Tiriti and Tikanga Māori advice into service delivery
