Job Description

He kōrero mō te tūranga - The role
Working as a Registered Health Professional in community probation service, your role will focus on supporting people in the community by providing mental health assessment, brief intervention and assistance/advice with referrals to other agencies. You will work closely with the corrections staff providing expertise and knowledge to them in the workplace.
He kōrero mōu - About you
You will need to be someone who aligns with our values and is passionate about our Kaupapa and genuinely embraces our commitment to Māori and Pasifika. You will also have an unequivocal commitment to respecting the rights of and supporting those with mental distress. In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you meet the following requirements:
  • Registered with a Professional Body covered by HPCA 2003 Act - RN, OT, Clinical Psychologist/Psychologist or Registered Social Worker (registered DAPAANZ may also be considered).
  • Hold a current APC
  • Demonstrate knowledge and ability to undertake a comprehensive mental health assessment and provide appropriate brief interventions i.e. talking therapies
  • Mental Health experience working with individuals presenting with a variety of mental health needs
  • Have a full NZ driver's licence
