He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role

This is a 40-hour contract per week in a 24/7 service. You will be working with youth with mental health issues and helping them to reintegrate back into the community. Ideally you will bring relevant experience, a flexible approach, people skills and be open to new learning as part of ongoing professional development.

He kōrero mōu | About You

• Facilitate youth to work towards their personal goals and aspirations
• Provide dedicated key support to youth
• Conduct assessments and reviews
• Experience in running small groups
• Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand
• Registration with a Professional Body covered by HCPA 2003 Act or Social Worker Registration Act 2003 (essential)
• Relevant health care degree level qualification (e.g., Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology) - preference will be given to Occupational Therapists
• Current APC
• Post-qualifying experience in the mental health sector
• Demonstrated commitment to recovery values.
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
• Well-developed documentation and computer skills
• Full New Zealand Driver's License
