Job Description

He kōrero mō te tūranga - The role

This is a 40-hour contract per week in a 24/7 service. You will be working with youth with mental health issues and helping them to reintegrate back into the community. Ideally, you will bring relevant experience, a flexible approach, people skills and be open to new learning as part of ongoing professional development.

Integrate clinical and rehabilitation knowledge and competencies with recovery approaches to provide quality services to clients and their families/whanau.

He kōrero mōu - About you:

  • Facilitate youth to work towards their personal goals and aspirations
  • Provide dedicated key support to youth
  • Conduct assessments and reviews
  • Experience in running small groups
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand
  • Registration with a Professional Body covered by HCPA 2003 Act or Social Worker Registration Act 2003 (essential)
  • Relevant health care degree level qualification (e.g., Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology) - preference will be given to Occupational Therapists
  • Current APC
  • Post-qualifying experience in the mental health sector
  • Demonstrated commitment to recovery values
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed documentation and computer skills
