Job Description

He kōrero mō te tūranga - The role

We're seeking a Referral Coordinator to join our Emergency Housing team for a fixed-term role until June 2023, covering for parental leave. Our team provides safe and warm accommodation to people and their whānau that have been affected by mental health or addiction issues, disability, trauma, violence, homelessness, poverty, or dislocation.

In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for social services agencies, and you'll be the 'go-to' person for your colleagues. You will work closely with those that support families in need.

Most of the work you will complete will be admin and process-orientated such as:

  • maintaining client information on our databases (record base)
  • receiving, managing, and processing any referrals received from the Ministry of Social Development
  • reporting
  • updating trackers and other information
  • coordinating and facilitating of referrals
  • client care - ensuring that our clients feel valued and following up to ensure their needs have been met
  • liaising with staff from all levels.

  • Quick learner
  • Computer literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office package
  • Data entry experience
  • Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of people
  • A current full New Zealand driver's licence
