The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm based in Kirikiriroa/Hamilton.

Our Mobile wellbeing support services provide regular support to people in their home, or somewhere else in the community if they prefer.  We support people with things like:

  • identifying goals and helping them to achieve them.
  • practical daily living
  • getting involved in the community.
  • living a healthy life, training or help finding a job.

Each person has different needs, so we tailor the amount and type of support to the person.

This is a clinical role, so you’ll have a current New Zealand registration as a registered nurse and where, you will help us improve the health and wellbeing of people we support (for example smoking cessation, healthy eating, liaison with GP).

  • Minimum of 2 years Nursing and mental health experience.
  • An understanding of the New Zealand context of service delivery.
  • A current New Zealand Health registration in Nursing.
  • You must hold a current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in developing care plans, risk management plans, supporting other Clinicians and working with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • An understanding of trauma-informed care and experience in working with people.
  • Both de-escalation skills and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment.
  • You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • An understanding and commitment to the principles of recovery.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
