Providing support within our Tumanako Me Whakapoko service, you will join clients on their recovery journey, providing a safe environment for our clients and supporting them with their goals and daily tasks. Joining our multi-disciplined team, you’ll be working in a 24-hour residential service, the clients within this service are aged between 18 to 65 and have suffered significant disruption due to ill mental health and/or addiction. You’ll have a supportive manager who draws on the strengths of team members to create a safe, nurturing space for whānau, where they can realize their potential and reach their goals. The service aims to provide a safe a nurturing space where whānau feel supported to live their best life.

Our Support Workers are instrumental in ensuring that Tangata Whaiora are supported to achieve the maximum level of independence and to lead the life they want to lead. We work to foster hope, identify strengths, and develop resilience. We recognize that these are key components to the approach taken to support clients and their family/whānau with their recovery.
Your duties will include but are not limited to, supporting Tangata Whaiora with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and hygiene and helping establish community connections, but most importantly provide a safe and nurturing space for tangata whaiora to reach their full potential.
This is a casual position working between Monday to Sunday, 7.00 am - 3.30 pm, 3.00 pm - 11.30 pm and 11 pm to 7:30 am.
