Job Description
He kōrero mō te tūranga - The role
Our Support Workers have a vital role to play. You will provide care and support Rangatahi with difficult behaviours and encourage and motivate them to make good choices.
You'll help to support our Rangatahi by helping them with their life skills such as cooking, art, music and cultural programmes and mentor them to make positive life choices.
This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependent on qualification level pays between $22.75 and $28.25 per hour.
We have multiple positions available, from casual, part-time and full-time positions available working Monday to Sunday on a rostered shift basis.

We're looking for people who want to make a difference, have some life experience and won't take things personally. You'll have a positive outlook, be patient and show some resilience, as well as empathy, initiative and a proactive approach.
We don't have many prerequisites, but you will need to:
This is not a nine to five, Monday - Friday job. Our young people require wrap around support from us, and our Youth Support Workers do rostered shifts providing 24/7 coverage (including weekends and public holidays). This role is not for the faint-hearted! Some of the work can be extremely challenging so you will need to have resilience and passion for working with youth, be a flexible person with a positive attitude and exhibit the ability to build strong professional relationships with young people, whānau, staff and service providers.
