Job Description

  • Perm, 32 hrs pw role available at our Adult Residential Service in Hamilton.
  • Earn up to $28.25 per hour + Working Fri-Mon, 3.00pm to 11.30pm.

We are looking for a caring support worker to join our team to provide daily living skills & connecting with their communities.

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This is a 32 hours per week role working Friday to Monday, 3.00pm to 11.30pm based in Hamilton East.

In this role you will:

  • Be busy supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills.
  • Attending appointments and advocating for people.
  • Might be assisting people to connect with their communities.
  • Be prepared to do whatever it takes for the people we support - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care or helping out with everyday tasks.

You | Mōu

  • Applicants must hold the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.Alternatively, you will be willing to commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Pathways. This needs to be completed within two years of commencement. Pathways offers significant support for support workers to complete this study.
  • You must hold a current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
  • You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
