The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
We’re looking for a Support Worker who is passionate about supporting people on their recovery journeys. You’ll report to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways Christchurch Te Whare Paki Mai Forensic Residential service.
As a Support Worker you’ll be:
This is a part-time role working Friday and Saturday, 3pm to 11.30pm, 16 hours per week, and based in Christchurch.
- Teaching strategies to improve or manage their well-being
- Providing a listening ear
- Hosting clinical teams
- Medication support
- Maintaining the home - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care or helping out with everyday tasks
- Taking care of documentation
You | Mōu
We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery focused way, you will have impeccable attention to detail and be able to provide medication support for our people.
- You must hold a current full driver’s licence
- You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
- Ideally you’ll have some experience working in the mental health field
- And an understanding of Te Ao Maori principles in a wellbeing setting.
