He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role

Our service operates 24/7 and is contracted to provide intensive rehabilitation services to clients with a mix of mental health diagnoses and or alcohol/drugs addictions and physical health issues.

This role requires a support worker to complete domestic support working one to one with whanau to complete daily activities as per support plans and meet the expectation of Health & Safety maintenance duties.

All clients are supported to achieve the maximum level of independence and to lead the life they want to lead. We work to foster hope, identify strengths, and develop resilience. We recognise that these are key components to the approach taken to support clients and their family/whānau with their recovery.

There is a casual role with shifts from Monday to Sunday.  

 He kōrero mōu | About You

• National Mental Health Certificate Level 4/5 or higher level of mental health support work (or equivalent), or be able to demonstrate your current plans to achieve this mandatory requirement
• Experience in the mental health sector 
• Demonstrated commitment to recovery values
• Leadership experience would be well received as would a willingness to complete domestic duties
• A full New Zealand driver's licence
• Demonstrated commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally safe practice
• Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand
