Our service will see you working in a small 24/7 rehabilitation and recovery residential service. This service houses up to six Tangata Whaiora, both female and male, who currently require sophisticated interventions from a dynamic team of people who have a focus on recovery and rehabilitation.
A truly supportive manager is leading this team, who draws on the strengths of team members to create a safe, nurturing space for whānau where they can realise their potential and reach their goals.

Job Description
He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
While there is nothing average about a Support Worker position, your average day will go from handover with the team, to 'out and about' with whānau - appointments, visits within the community, and teaching life skills such as budgeting, cooking and other planned activities for reintegration. Implementing interventions and strategies identified by the clinical team for the people we look after is an integral part of the Support Worker role. The team at this service is small and work very closely with one another and our whaiora.
He kōrero mōu | About You
A level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or be working towards one
Work with a recovery focused approach to ensure delivery of a quality service to whānau
Resilience and strong personal and professional boundaries
A calm and patient approach to behavioural challenges you may face
Experience working in the intellectual disability sector
A current Full New Zealand driver's licence
