He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role

You'll be confident in supporting activities of daily living and community participation and focusing on clients' strengths. You will be able to support clients with goal planning, implement best practice interventions and strategies.

There are two full time Community Support Worker roles available, both based in Tauranga. The role is Monday to Sunday on a rotational roster. Hours are 08:00 - 16:30 and 10:30 - 19:00.

The role of a Support Worker is not always easy, we know that, but the reward of seeing whānau grow, change, realise their own potential and reach their goals, is a feeling like no other.

He kōrero mōu | About You

• National Mental Health Certificate Level 4/5 or higher level of mental health support work (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate your current plans to achieve this mandatory requirement.
• 2+ years' experience in the mental health sector is preferred however not essential
• Good time management and organisational skills
• To be culturally respective and non-judgemental
• See potential in people and thrive in a challenging and ever-changing environment
• Strong professional boundaries
• The ability to easily build professional relationships with our tangata whaiora
• A current full New Zealand driver's licence and the right to work in New Zealand is necessary.
