We have a number of permanent part-time, full-time and casual positions available working a range of shifts and hours.

You will be asked to indicate your availability and preferences in your application form.

You will have a can-do attitude and be able to work with adults as part of a proactive team working toward a common goal enabling people with a disability to have power and control over their life.

We're looking for people from all walks of life who:

• have a sense of humour, energy and enthusiasm
• are patient and kind, friendly and helpful
• have good social skills and the ability to relate well to others
• have the ability to understand non-verbal behaviours
• have good written and spoken language skills in English and/or Te Reo
• have basic maths and computing knowledge
• have confidence in assisting with personal cares
• a current full NZ driver's licence (confident driving both automatic and manual vehicles)
• NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2 to 4) or equivalent is preferred, or the willingness to complete this level of study in the workplace.

Your hourly rate will be $22.70 to $28.25 an hour dependent upon your qualifications as recognised under the Care and Support Workers (Pay Equity) Settlement Act 2017.

*N.B. For those shifts that include sleepovers, (i.e. between the hours of 10pm and 7am), the hourly rate is equivalent to the minimum adult wage rate.

Appointment and ongoing employment will be conditional upon criminal record/police checks - you must declare any convictions and/or pending charges on your application form. This will include checks under the Children Act 2014.

You are required to provide proof that you have completed your primary course of two NZ approved Covid-19 vaccinations.
