We are looking to appoint a Team Leader to join our existing team in our new refurbished respite home in Nelson. You will work closely with whānau, local community, and professional agencies to provide short, medium, or emergency respite for children with unique and special needs. Harness your attentive support style to organize and sometimes participate in activities or school holiday programs that inspire and create great memories. You will always be role modelling best practice, whilst ensuring the team can bring fun, engaging, and fit-for-purpose care in home, for our all too often marginalised tamariki.
Our mahi is dynamic, demanding and rewarding. From personal cares to empathetic practice, by utilising your mana-enhancing skills that ensure safety as a holistic concept. Your role is on-roster, working with flexibility over seven days including evening and weekends. Our goal is to center the needs of the child and their whānau, requiring lots of communication, planning and flexibility. We are non-judgmental, reflective, and trauma informed always, and we embed the Enabling Good Lives principles into the important mahi that we do.
