About the Company/Organisation

Te Ara Mahi (TeAM) is an NGO contracted by the Ministry of Health through local District Health Boards in Te Tau Ihu (Top of the South) and Te Tai Poutini (West Coast). We provide employment and education/training support to people receiving secondary mental health and addiction services.

In Nelson/ Marlborough TeAM is working in partnership with Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) to provide specialised IPS (Individual Placement and Support) support to people referred by NMH, working in an integrated way with their clinical mental health treatment teams. IPS service delivery is measured against a Fidelity Scale and reviews are conducted at regular intervals to ensure our service is congruent with IPS principles.  Management, support and oversight of IPS service delivery is therefore an essential part of the organisation’s success.

New Year – New Opportunity in Nelson

TeAM Manager

Te Ara Mahi (TeAM) is an NGO working in partnership with Te Whatu Ora to provide IPS (Individual Placement and Support) employment and education support to people receiving secondary mental health and addiction services in Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast.

The TeAM Manager is a key role within the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the TeAM Directors and liaising closely with the IPS Supervisor to ensure our staff are well supported and our service is responsive and effective.  You will need the skills and experience to provide hands on management and performance development of staff, foster and build relationships across a range of stakeholders and direct the day-to-day operations of the business. You will manage the client journey from referral to exit and ensure a person-centred approach and a strong health and safety focus is at the heart of service delivery.

Ideally you will have a background in general or mental health services, a relevant tertiary qualification and the energy and passion to lead a small specialist employment team.  You will have the ability to build a positive TeAM culture, empower and enable others through strong vision and leadership, support staff to bring their best and ensure the highest quality service.
