Job Description

He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role

This role is based at 103 Richardson Road, Mt Albert Service. You will provide support for rangatahi/youth with mental health conditions, connecting them with their communities, and supporting them to achieve their meaningful goals. You will be required to travel but will have access to a vehicle.

We have 1 permanent part-time position available, working 20 hours a week.

You will be working up to 3 days a week between the hours 8 am to 6:30 pm.

He kōrero mōu | About You

We are looking for a person with enthusiasm for working with children and youth with mental health difficulties. Most of all we need someone with heart and resilience to remain understanding, and strengths-based in difficult situations and have a belief in the ability for people to change and grow. The successful applicant will demonstrate an empathic and solutions-focused outlook when managing conflict as well as excellent skills around planning and advancing persons towards achieving goals.

To meet the requirements and demands of this role, you will need to be flexible, can cope with challenging behaviour with calmness and a good sense of humour and have a "hands-on" engaging attitude.

He kōrero mōu | About You

Experience working with youth and a level 4 or 5 qualification in Mental Health and Addiction or Social Services are essential.

You will also need a full New Zealand Driver's Licence and be confident in using computer systems.
