He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role

This role is with our mobile service which provides support for rangatahi/youth with mental health conditions, connecting them with their communities, and supporting them to achieve their meaningful goals. You will be required to travel but will have access to a vehicle.

There are multiple permanent full-time positions available. You will be working Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week between the hours 8:00 am and 6:30 pm.

He kōrero mōu | About You

We are looking for a person with enthusiasm for working with children and youth with mental health difficulties. Most of all we need someone with heart and resilience to remain understanding, and strengths-based in difficult situations and have a belief in the ability for people to change and grow. The successful applicant will demonstrate an empathic and solutions-focused outlook when managing conflict as well as excellent skills around planning and advancing persons towards achieving goals.

To meet the requirements and demands of this role, you will need to be flexible, can cope with challenging behaviour with calmness and a good sense of humour and have a "hands-on" engaging attitude.

He kōrero mōu | About You

• Experience working with youth (essential)
• A level 4 or 5 qualification in Mental Health and Addiction or Social Services (desirable)
• Must have a Full New Zealand Driver's Licence
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Be culturally respectful and non-judgemental
• See the potential in people and thrive in a challenging and ever-changing environment
• Have strong professional boundaries
• Can easily build professional relationships with our tangata whaiora
• Be able to use IT systems confidently
• Ability to communicate with the people in the community, your manager, tangata whaiora and their whānau
