Job Description

  • Perm role working AM & PM shift across 4 days per week.
  • Earn up to $28.25 phr + 2 paid well-being days + more great benefits.
  • Join our team based at the OTIS residential Youth Service in Tauranga.

Provide individualised support for one to two taiohi (young person) in a residential setting. Invest in tomorrow’s kids!

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This is a full-time role, 32 hours per week, to be worked as follows:
Friday to Saturday, AM shift 7.00am – 3.30pm and;
Sunday to Monday, PM shift 3.00pm – 11.30pm.

We are on the look for an experienced Youth Worker to joining our OTIS Youth Service in Tauranga. Support one to two taiohi in a home like environment to develop life skills. This role reports to the Team Coach.

You | Mōu

  • The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW)-Level 4 or a recognised equivalent or be prepared to study towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent.
  • Experience in working with children and young people and an understanding of trauma-informed care.
  • A current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
  • A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
