A number of grants are available to help meet the costs of Careerforce training.

Assessment Support Programme

This support for employers and trainees applies to trainees enrolled prior to 31 December 2015.  You can calculate your approximate payment and timeframe using our ASP_Calculator

To receive payment in 2016 for any qualifying trainees, please complete and return the Assessment Support Agreement.  Download the Assessment Support Payment Agreement.  Talk to your Careerforce Workplace Advisor if you have any questions.

Mental Health Training Grant

This grant can assist trainees with fees, providing up to $2,000 for trainees enrolled in a New Zealand certificate and $2,500 per year for diploma trainees. Find out more.

Te Pou Training Grants for the Disability Sector

These grants are available to assist employers with the costs of training at a national certificate or diploma level. Applications are received throughout the year. Find out more.

Le Va Mental Health and Addiction Scholarships

These scholarships are specifically for Pasifika trainees and include fees, expenses and mentoring support. Find out more.

Hauora Maori Training Fund

The Hauora Māori Training Fund has been developed for the Kaiāwhina/unregulated Māori health and disability workforce.  The funding can be used when attending a training programme to complete a relevant qualification to support delivery of health and disability services to Māori.  Find out more.

Withdrawal refunds

Training registration fees will be refunded if the trainee terminates within 3 months and we are advised within 4 months of the training start date. Training agreements cannot be transferred to another trainee.
