Why attend an Assessor Hub? What’s it all about?
Careerforce registered assessors are required to attend training or engage in professional development as part of the Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR). Participating in an Assessment and Moderation Hub (Wānanga Mātauranga) offers assessors the opportunity to:
- Strengthen their skills in current assessment practices
- Access tools that support consistency and quality in assessments
- Contribute to the ongoing care of vulnerable members of our communities because of quality assessment practice
These hubs also provide a valuable space for collaboration where assessors can share ideas, explore best practices, celebrate successes, discuss challenges, and raise any questions or concerns they may have.
Hubs cover the following key areas:
- Careerforce updates
- Highlights and challenges
- Support for trainees and assessors
- Professional development around quality assessing that meets moderation and CMR requirements.
Our Hubs have specific Professional Development topics which may be adjusted based on the needs of the attendees. Some topics are listed below, and assessors can choose hubs that align with their interests. If you have a specific topic you would like to see discussed, please contact your Workplace Capability Advisor. We look forward to seeing you at a hub soon
