    He kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role

    Are you a passionate Mental Health Professional who wants to make a real difference for rangatahi?

    Join our Te Puāwaitanga Youth Support Service, supporting young people aged upto 18 years old through mental health respite and day programmes. Working in a collaborative team, you’ll provide recovery-focused, client-centred care to rangatahi with complex needs.

    In this role, you will:

    • Provide clinical expertise to ensure safe, effective, and client-centred service delivery
    • Assess and manage risk, with strong documentation, reporting, and communication
    • Support rangatahi with daily living skills and community participation
    • Contribute to assessments, care planning, rehabilitation, and recovery outcomes
    • Provide clinical guidance to Support Workers
    • Respond confidently to complex and high-risk situations
    • Oversee client journeys from entry to exit, including pathways and support needs assessments

    We're seeking someone who is positive, flexible, and compassionate, with the confidence and energy to thrive in a dynamic environment. You'll have a keen eye for noticing changes in behaviour and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in crisis situations.

    To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

    • Registration with a professional body covered by the HPCA Act, Social Worker Registration Act, or DAPAANZ
    • Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
    • Experience working in youth, mental health, addiction, disability, or community-based support services
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, respectful relationships
    • Eligibility to work in New Zealand and a current full driver's licence
    • Ability to participate in on call roster
    • Must hold and maintain First Aid certification including CPR (or be willing and able to complete this)

    • Salary Range: $68,037.77 – $102,000 (based on relevant experience)
