Careerforce and Primary ITO have been working together on the development of two pest management qualifications:
- New Zealand Certificate in Pest Management (Level 3) (with strands in Rural Pest Control and Urban Pest Control)
- New Zealand Certificate in Pest Management (Level 4) (with strands in Pest Animal and Pest Plant)
Both these qualifications have been granted approval to develop by the NZQA. Careerforce and Primary ITO are currently working on the application for approval to list.
Once these qualifications have been listed, Careerforce will be calling for expressions of interest to be a part of a working party. This working party will be developing programmes in urban pest management for one or both of these qualifications.
