MEDIA RELEASE

Careerforce announces new CEO

Careerforce has appointed Jane Wenman to be its new Chief Executive Officer. She replaces Ray Lind who left the organisation on 2 November, after over 7 years as its CEO.

Wenman is currently Careerforce’s Chief Financial Officer, and joined the industry training organisation in September 2016. Prior to this, she worked in chartered accountancy with Grant
Thornton New Zealand.

Careerforce Board Chair Richard Westlake congratulates Jane on her appointment. “We conducted an extensive international and local recruitment exercise through an executive search firm. We met some exceptional candidates and we are delighted to have selected Jane for the role. She has an outstanding set of skills and a strong understanding of the business and the needs of its stakeholders. We have full confidence in her ability to lead Careerforce in its next period of growth.”

Careerforce has grown considerably in recent years, with staff numbers now over 150 and trainee numbers growing by about four times during Ray Lind’s tenure, reflecting the increasing needs of the sectors which Careerforce has responsibility for.

Wenman commented, “I have been very fortunate to have been part of Careerforce’s recent growth story, and I feel very privileged to lead Careerforce going forward. I am really excited about furthering the role Careerforce plays in delivering better outcomes for New Zealand and to working very closely with our many stakeholders.”

Wenman will take up the role on 10 December. No decision has yet been made on Wenman’s replacement as Chief Financial Officer.
