In April 2013 a new version of the unit standard 26975 Communicate with consumers and others, and access communication supports in a health, disability, or community setting was published on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework.

This unit standard was revised so that it meets the needs of a greater range of communication contexts.

As part of the revision process an additional evidence requirement was added to outcome three and the range statement for evidence requirements was also amended. This was to enable assessment against the standard in situations where access to interpreter services was not required.

The level and credit value of this standard remain unchanged. Version two of this standard can be used from now on, however version one can be used until the end of 2014.

A new assessment is available for purchase or free download from the shop now.
