A cleaning qualification developed by the sector for the sector

The New Zealand Certificate in Cleaning (Level 3) has been developed in close consultation with the cleaning sector to identify the skills and competencies you need. This qualification is for experienced cleaners in commercial, residential, health and domestic settings. It has flexible learning pathways for generalist cleaning, specialist cleaning and supervision.

The content and structure of the qualification will provide cleaners with the skills and knowledge identified as essential by the cleaning sector. Careerforce worked closely with sector representatives during the development.

“Lifelong learning is a hallmark of the cleaning industry which offers cleaners a range of qualifications which uphold industry standards. The cleaning industry recognised the need for a level 3 qualification building on level 2 certified skills and competencies.

A level 3 qualification recognises a next step in the career path of cleaners, who are able to carry out their duties to a higher level, working independently as well as providing direction to their team.

Providing a level 3 qualification gives employer’s confidence, that all those who hold the qualification have demonstrated a recognised core set of skills and understanding.”
