Gerontology nurses and specialists gathered at the Waipuna Conference Centre in Auckland on 3-4 November to attend the New Zealand Nurses Organisation’s 9th Gerontology Section Conference. The theme for this year’s conference was entitled “From Vision to Action – Building Our Future”.
Cathy Cooney – Director of Kowhai Health Associates was one of the keynote speakers at the conference. Cathy has been the Independent Facilitator, on behalf of Health Workforce NZ and Careerforce, for the development of the Kaiāwhina (non-regulated) health and disability sector workforce action plan since January 2014.
