The workstreams are now fully operational and have up to eight members with knowledge of the health and disability sector and their particular domains.
The Kaiāwhina Workforce Programme, a partnership between Careerforce and Health Workforce New Zealand, sets out a 20-year vision and a five-year action plan for the development of non-regulated healthcare workers. The programme is structured around seven domains. The workstreams reflect each domain:

- Career Development
- Workforce Recognition
Next Steps
The workstreams are developing draft actions that will be tested via a range of forums with stakeholders during April and May 2015. The final actions will be published towards the end of June 2015.
