In January of this year, new versions of unit standard 23685 and unit standard 20827 were published in response to sector concerns.
The title of 23685 has changed to Describe pre-packaged medication and the process for its use in a health or disability context. As well as the references being updated, an additional outcome was added to reinforce the context of the standard. The standard remains 2 credits at level 2.
The title of 20827 has changed to Support a person to use prescribed medication in a health or disability context to fit with preferred industry terminology. Again the references were updated and the outcomes were amended. The standard remains at level 3, but the credit value has increased to 3 credits to more accurately reflect the learner time required to complete this standard.
