Careerforce has commenced a review of five programmes that lead to the Level 3 Health and Wellbeing qualification to align with this recently revised qualification.  As we undertake this important review,  feedback on the unit standards that form these programmes is critical. This is an opportunity for key stakeholders to make sure the programmes remain relevant to the current needs of trainees.  These programmes include Support Work, Health Assistance, Orderly Services, Newborn Hearing Screening and Dental Assistance.

Usage of the unit standards that form these programmes, and their continued relevance to the sector needs are now being considered. Input will impact what will be retained or removed in these programmes.

Why are these programmes being reviewed?
The Health and Wellbeing Level 3 qualification has recently been revised and so the above programmes now need to be reviewed to ensure they continue to align with it. The Level 3 Disability programme and the Vision Hearing Screening programme have already been reviewed and released.

What do we need feedback on?
We are particularly seeking feedback on the draft/proposed programme structures for each of the programmes below (please click on these to view/download).

Support Work

Health Assistance

Orderly Services

Newborn Hearing Screening

Dental Assistance

Unit standards which are currently part of a programme are listed in compulsory and elective categories.  In some programmes, other unit standards are labelled as “Possibilities For Consideration”. We have added these as potential inclusions to gauge sector response.

What we specifically need feedback on:

  • if you agree with the unit standards proposed for this programme
    (marked “Yes” in green text)
  • if you agree with the unit standards proposed for removal
    (marked “No” in red text)
  • where there are unit standards in the programme, marked “For consideration”, please advise which you would like to see included
  • which unit standards that we have not included, would you like to see.

To provide your feedback, simply follow the link below  Please send  your feedback by 5pm on Friday 10 December 2021.
