As required by NZQA as part of the ongoing schedule of qualification reviews, Careerforce is coordinating the review of the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Rehabilitation Support) (Level 4) with strands in Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Impairment, and Chronic Illness.
Programmes that lead to this qualification are not part of the current review but will be subject to their own review in the future.
For your reference, the current qualification document is available here.
The initial phase of the review focused on the Brain Injury strand. Recommendations from Brain Injury stakeholders also impact on the Spinal Cord Impairment, and Chronic Illness strands, and additional consultation is now being undertaken with relevant stakeholders.
Please read the summary of the proposed changes to the qualification’s specifications which have been recommended by Brain Injury stakeholders, who considered the qualification’s outcomes, specifications and conditions to ensure they reflect the skills, knowledge and application expected to be demonstrated by graduates.
If you are in agreement (or not) with the changes in the summary applying to the Spinal Cord Impairment, and/or Chronic Illness strands, please email email@example.com by close of business 11 December 2019.
